All geared up at the airport for the, what should be nine, eighteen hour trip: face mask, face shield, surgical gloves, (at least 200) Lysol wipes, container
s of hand-sanitiser... pretty sexy don't ya think?!
The airport, and gate areas, were actually really very quiet; a nice change from the norm, but a bit weird at the same time.
Social distancing at its best! I was able to lay down (as best you can in cattle-car section on an airplane, ). 🤪
It was a very different flight, not really very pleasant actually. But hey, one day of hell for 30 days of heaven = worth it!!
A few days before leaving I decided to sew Percy a wee snuggle blanket, making it from a piece of the blanket James used to carry around the house and in the car, (he was not allowed to take it outside because I did not want it lost, as that would have been the end of the world in his little mind!).
⬅ Meet little LambBee.
I made some binding out of satin ribbon, and the heart from a fuzzy pink shirt I bought just for this project.
Fixed up the lamb, and attached her to the corner, snuggling the blanket. 🥰
I rummaged through my old button supply and found some little tiny heart buttons to attach beside the little lamb, all of which I attached very securely! ⬇
On the back side I attached a larger button, just for interest and something for her to grab/hang onto if she wants, (also sewn super secure). ⬊
