Yesterday was unbelievable!
I went into work, got my stuff all cleaned out, (can't even tell I was there) and said my goodbyes.
Saying goodbye to my kids was not an easy thing... I am sad I will not be here for their grade twelve year! It took a bit longer to say goodbye than I anticipated, but am not surprised.
So I was late for my workout, only got in 30 minutes instead of 60; that's alright.
I got to the massage parler, and when I walked in the girls looked at me and said, "Oh Gena, you look so tired!" Man, was I. Then my masseuse said, "I do your massage first, then you have facial - you will feel better. We must make you be relaxed!" It worked; it was wonderful!
After my massage I headed for a final coffee date with my best girlfriend here in Singapore, and her beautiful daughter; I will miss them both very much.
After a wonderful coffee with SungEun and JiHae, the insanity began! Oh-my-word; unbelievable!
I zipped home, we had arranged for the cleaner to come, box shippers to come shortly after that, then we would finish up the few things left and hand over the keys at 7. That was the plan; not to be.
The power and electricity, as well as water, had been shut off. Without those you can not clean, and you can not see to pack! We had to phone and have it turned back on, which of course cost us $60 and took until 6:45 to happen! We ended up sending the shippers away, to come back later, and had to just pay the cleaner for the time, (even though cleaning could/did not happen).
So now picture everything all over the place, and nothing finished - and me, (who is always organised and has everything done and ready on or before the necessary time).
Once the power got turned on we had to run around trying to get everything packed for the shippers, and packed for the move! NOT COOL! I hate being rushed, and feeling like things are not getting finished properly - not a happy camper. Oh, and during this time, the landlord had arranged for the future tenants to come over to take some measurements of the place; understandable, as were supposed to be all finished up and gone by this point. So now you should be picturing me trying to get all this done,in Singapore heat and humidity, with people all over the place! -_-
It finally ended, we literally threw EVERYTHING into the suitcases, ordered two cabs, and moved all our crap over to Eric's place, (thank you so much Eric, you are a life saver!!)
We crashed into bed at about 1:30am, got up this morning at 6:30am, and now are sitting in the airport waiting for our flight to Lembeh Straight, Indonesia -- time to go away for a few days and dive-dive-dive! One final trip.... -_-,
When we get back on the seventh we will repack everything, throw a bunch of stuff away, hop a plane on the 8th, and get gone.
