Written While ON The Plane:

Wow-za-roonies!
Sitting on the plane, having just taken off, and I have to tell you about the little girl, about three years old, sitting behind me and over a few seat.... aye caramba!
She is screaming – I mean SCREAMING! We're talking full volume, complete lung capacity, legs kicking, arms flailing, complete and entire temper tantrum!
What are the parents doing you ask –good question… actually, nothing. The mother leans over every once in a while and whispers sweet “pesh-pesh” to her and kisses her head, the father just looks at the mother as if to say “hmm, what to do? Oh well”, and that’s it – nothing more. Well, she carried on like this the whole time we sat waiting for take off, (we were late) and then continued right up into the air. As soon as we were airborne, the father picked her up, and snuggled her in, letting her continue to freak out while he rocked her.
Yup, that’s it folks; how not to deal with your child on a full plane during take off.
She is still having a fit actually.
I would think after crying that hard, for that long, she should have puked by now!
Wow. That’s all I can say. Wow.
Hopefully she will tire herself out, soon, and pass out for the next nine hours!
Blessed peace, which would be nice right about now.
The son is sitting there, carrying on as if this is totally normal. He leans over and speaks whatever eastern language (Hindi?) to his dad, loud enough for dad to hear, as if this is just a normal everyday occurrence. … maybe it is?
Wowzers.

We were supposed to take off at 1325, but have just lifted off, and it’s 2:02. This should give you an idea how long we sat on the runway…  completely enjoying the background…music. NOT.

......... a number of hours later .....…

Okay, that was a first!

I had to go downstairs to go to the washroom! On the plane -
DOWNSTAIRS!!!
The washrooms were no cleaner than any other time, but going downstairs was weird…
Oh, and people don’t know how to queue, no matter where the washroom is!
Ridiculous people.
This is a very long flight!
Not a happy flier right now...
