Exhausted...

This past couple of weeks was exhausting, in every way imaginable:

It was absolutely physically exhausting; I've not an ounce of energy in my any of me, what with baseboarding, vacuuming, dooring, unbaseboarding, wiping, revacuuming, rebaseboarding, rushing to meet insurance man, or woman, contractor, floor men, flooring layers, furnace man, flooring layers again, vacuuming again, wiping again...

It was mentally exhausting talking with insurance persons, talking with contractors, convincing tenants, talking with insurance persons, pricing flooring, explaining to tenants (not well enough), talking with insurance persons, finding a "now" furnace person, arguing with tenants (not well enough), talking with insurance persons,  talking with contractor, listening to tenants (not well enough), rushing flooring layers, talking with insurance persons, ignoring tenants (not soon enough)...

It was definitely emotionally exhausting, as I was not getting the things done I actually wanted to get done - things for/with Stephanie and James. Getting together with Sharon, or Missy, or Karen, or Brenda, or Anita, or Heather, or Fiona, or... Driving out to Lacombe to spend time with Michelle.
It was completely financially exhausting/draining! Every flight back to Canada is a couple of grand; that's one thing if it is a trip you want to take... this was not!
Because there have been so many claims since the June flood, and many issues apparently, insurance does not pay directly unless it is their own contractors and work done, which will take about three or four months. If you can/will not wait, (because your tenants are @#%&^&*^... impatient) you have to pay up front for ALL of it, and will get the (some of) money back later (maybe). - money spent on measuring for flooring, installation of flooring, basement re-wiring, furnace, furnace installation, car rental, gas, phone card... much more! Stupid things!!
Needless to say, every day when it was time to get up... it was not a day I wanted to get up for. It was so nice to finally get home, to climb into my own bed with my bed-buddy, (I kinda like him) and NOT set the alarm!
Actually, I got home, had a looong nap, slept all night, then had a nap the next day, and slept all night again!
I think I will go have another nap now...
I am so glad this is behind me.
I am so glad Stephanie is helping me with the loose ends I had to leave behind when I boarded the plane.
I am so glad I will never have to deal with the tenants husband again - Dean will do so from now on.   .\_/.
Stupid and dumb, dumb and stupid.

That's all finished now, I am so glad, and I am out-a-there, finished, done, kaputt!
Finito!
Nap-time.
